Savannah Newborn Portrait Session

On Sunday I drove to Savannah and visited Molly and Clay and their ten day old, super sweet, teeny-weeny James Cooper, also known as Coop. Coop wasn't very impressed with my visit, so he slept through the whole event. I was still content to snap away and we had a great time making Coop's newborn portraits. Here are a few of my favorites, and there are many more to come, as well as another surprise in the next few days, so be sure to check back!

Hannah Has Her Sweet Sixteen Portrait Session

Sometimes I get to be cool at my house. Hannah's sixteenth birthday (OMG!!) is coming in just a couple of weeks, and at my house, a birthday means a photo shoot. So we headed out this morning bright and early to historic downtown Dacula to make a few photos down by the train tracks.

Once we were home, I noticed that if I mentioned that I was thirsty, a glass of iced tea appeared moments later. There was an unusually heightened level of attention to me and my wishes.... so I took the hint and got the photos uploaded and backed up and edited a few. It was even worth missing my nap (we got up at 5am!), 'cause I got a couple of hugs when she saw them. So, internet ladies and internet gentlemen, without further ado, I present to you Hannah's favorite sweet sixteen portrait session photos. Please enjoy. :-)

Neat New Stuff!

I'm really excited about my new DVD packaging! I know this isn't an exciting location shoot with beautiful people, but humor me, dear internet. I'm a nerd and I think shiny things are cool. So, introducing my new DVD packaging....

Now, when you order a slideshow or a digital album of your session, you'll get this fabulous, beautimous, stylish case with a custom printed DVD inside. How super awesome is that? (Save your applause for the end please!)

The cases are made of durable, untinted, recyclable polystyrene. They're sleek and thinner than traditional DVD cases.

They are hinged and have a thumb lock opening mechanism. The corners are rounded to withstand drops better.

The DVD is custom printed at the photo lab. No sticky labels to peel off inside your expensive BluRay!

And just when you think it can't get any better.. we can even put cool stuff inside the hinge! This one has heart shaped glass beads, but there are so many fun things we can do with this!

So, thanks for humoring me, dear internet... I'll post some photos of pretty people soon, I promise!

A Special Video Treat!

On my last blog I promised you a special treat. I really wanted to post this sooner, but I've managed to injure my back and so I've spent most of my time in the past 2 weeks crisping myself with an industrial strength heating pad. Nonetheless, in between sessions of back-baking, I've had some time to play around and put together this fun little clip that we shot the photos for on a whim. So, without further ado.... here's Mel & Oli's Mini Movie!!
